Chauncey Billups was born in Denver, Colorado on September 25, 1976. He went to George Washington High School in Denver. He was a four-time All-Colorado high school team player. He was elected to the McDonalds All-America team in his sophomore year in high school, but he didn't play because he had a shoulder injury.
He went to college at the University of Colorado, where he played awesome basketball. He averaged 18.5 points a game. Although he didn't go to a famous college basketball program, he was named to the Big 12 conference first team in 1996-1997.
